One brief revision branches equally to Proposal A and Proposal B. Keep work-package IDs, proposal versions and exact locators, then record open questions for your review. No automatic selection.
Compare both adviser responses against the same brief revision and stable work-package IDs. Retain each proposal version and exact response locator, record unresolved differences, and preserve earlier versions for your review. Original T040 workflow illustration; no automatic selection or engagement decision.

Record two adviser responses against one versioned brief. Keep the requested work, each proposal’s exact version and source locator, unresolved differences and your review notes together.

The editable XLSX has three sheets:

  • Compare proposals: record the two responses and the differences that need attention.

  • Project brief: reference an existing brief or record a short list of work packages with stable IDs.

  • Fictional example: follow a small example of a format exclusion and an unstated responsibility.

Start with the common brief revision. Identify the exact version of each proposal, then enter only the aspects relevant to each work package. Keep quotations exact and label summaries. Record fee and timing terms as supplied text, without normalising unlike offers.

The workbook has no formulas, scores, ranking or automatic selection. Brief-version mismatches, duplicate IDs and missing references need manual review. Save a new comparison copy when a proposal or the brief changes, keeping the earlier version and its supporting notes.

Read the text-entry instructions before pasting source material. Text formatting does not guarantee that every spreadsheet application will neutralise arbitrary pasted content. Check the saved file in the application you use.
